MTPHI Community Engagement Grant Opportunity - accepting applications!

Montana Public Health Institute’s Community Engagement Grant opportunity is accepting applications on a rolling basis. Funding decisions will be made within 2 weeks of submission. Health departments may request up to $1,500 per award and are eligible to divide this into multiple requests through June 30, 2027. If funding is requested for a re-occurring event, only one application is required.

Rural EMS Grants Now Available Through RHTP

A total of $4 million in first-year grants is now available to help strengthen emergency medical services (EMS) across rural Montana as part of the state’s Rural Health Transformation Program (RHTP). Grants are open to EMS agencies located in or serving rural areas of Montana to upgrade ambulances and equipment. Eligibility is based on need such as:

• Age, model, or operational status of current equipment

• Gaps in patient care

• Level and type of service provided by the requesting agency

Agencies can verify where they are classified as a rural health provider by utilizing the Rural Health Grants Eligibility Analyzer. The online portal to submit funding proposals went live on July 16, 2026, and will continue through August 15, 2026. Apply via Submittable. It is entitled “DPHHS Equipment Grant Application.”
